Maybe

Have you ever experienced that feeling when you feel like your heart is going to explode with too much feels? I can't understand why I feel like my heart is filled with pain - pain which I don't even know where the hell came from. Or maybe... this feeling is just brought by the songs I keep on playing at night. They're usually sad songs anyway.

These feelings usually hunt me at night for weeks now. Sometimes I just find myself staring blankly into space. And then one night I thought... what if it's not really pain I'm feeling? What if I just feel... empty? I honestly don't know which is worse.

Maybe this is the reason why I can't write anything. I stopped writing for over a month ago. Most nights I'll open my laptop and just stared at MS Word hoping for some miracle that'll help me to find the will to write again. I'll always end up closing my laptop without any progress.

This, whatever this is, is suffocating. And I really want this feeling to go away.

I never told anyone about this but I hope that writing what I feel here will help me push this feeling away. Maybe this is just what I needed.

Maybe...

Lypophrenia

Lypophrenia (n.) - a vague feeling of sorrow or sadness seemingly without any apparent cause or source

I don't even know if that word really exists but that pretty much explains what I'm feeling right now. I don't know how it happened, but suddenly I just feel so down. I can't find any reason as to why I feel this way. One moment I was reading, giddy and all, then all of a sudden I feel sad. I can't even function normally.

I was supposed to write a new chapter for my story but this feeling is a hindrance. I can't concentrate. Instead of writing what I planned (happy chapter), all I could type is exactly opposite from happy. I even started playing upbeat songs to uplift my mood but it doesn't help.

This isn't the first time I feel this emotion and seriously, every time I'm feeling this way, I get so cranky. The first time I experienced this was during my early teenage years. I just started crying and when my friends asked me why, I can't even answer them. I just keep on sobbing. There's also this one time during college I felt whatever this is. I cursed which shocked my friend since she doesn't hear me cussing. (Because when I was in college and 'til now, I stop cussing except when I'm feeling so frustrated and angry.)

This feeling sucks.

Top 5 Groups

Most of my Twitter followers are aware that I’m into K-Pop. It’s too obvious. I keep on tweeting about different idols. If you’ll open my Facebook account and see my news feed, you’ll be welcomed by articles from Allkpop and Soompi. (I unlike Koreaboo’s page because their articles are so annoying and causes fanwars.)

I can name more or less 50 kpop groups and hundreds of idols. Also, I listen to countless of K-Pop songs. I don’t really choose the songs I listen to based on who sang it. If I think it’s good, then it’ll be put automatically in my playlist no matter who sang it and no matter what genre it is.

I’m not picky with K-Pop songs but when it comes to group who I stan, I must say that it’s the contrary. When I stan a certain group, it’s a given that I must enjoy their music first then their personality and the bond between the members.

There’s only a few groups that I really stan to the point of watching their fancams, variety show guesting, music videos, following their social media accounts and adding their whole album on my playlists.

Most of those groups are girl groups. I don’t know why I stan girl groups more than boy groups. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not immune with boy groups. I also like Got7, SHINee, BTS, NCT U, Bigbang and iKon. (I’m super close to stanning iKon. I love Hanbin and Bobby’s personality!) It’s just that they can’t replace or even share the same place with my number one bias group in my heart.

Anyway, here is the list of my top 5 favorite K-Pop groups (with bias and bias wrecker) as of now:

5. MAMAMOO
Left to right: Moonbyul, Solar, Wheein, Hwasa
I just entered their fandom recently. I’m fully aware about their group. I like them even before; I just don’t give them much attention. I even find it cute when they won first place on a music show and they invited other idols to join them in their encore. Not every group does that.
Left to right: Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein, Hwasa
Anyway, I started loving them by accident. Thanks to Youtube, I guess? I was browsing different songs that time and I happen to land on their song Taller Than You. It’s funny that they sang a song that disses their own members. It’s not often that you’ll find a group like that.

After that, I started watching their mini clips and their Weekly Idol guesting. They’re definitely one of the most energetic groups I know. That’s it. I decided to stan them because of their mind-blowing vocals and super energetic and lovable personalities.

Bias: Wheein (Jung Whee In)

I love her dimples… and height. Lol. She’s super cute. Why did I pick her as my bias? I love her personality the most. They’re all crazy but she’s the cute crazy type. She also seems nice.

Bias wrecker: Solar (Kim Yong Sun)

Originally, she’s my bias because she’s the first member I’ve known. She’s the most popular if I’m not mistaken. But Wheein came in the picture so… yeah. (Technically, Wheein is the bias wrecker since she managed to totally wreck my bias list but since she’s my number one bias now, Solar will take her place. You get the whole point, right? Ugh. Whatever.)

4. EXID
Left to right: Hani, Hyerin, LE, Junghwa, Solji
Someone told me to watch their Showtime because it’s funny. At first, I don’t really like to watch it since I don’t like Hani. I remember her as the one who got viral because of their slightly off dance step. Whenever I see articles about her (and her beauty which I can’t appreciate back then), I just rolled my eyes. What makes her special?

Out of curiosity, I decided to give EXID showtime a try.
Left to right: Hyerin, Solji, LE, Hani, Junghwa
I was infected by Hani syndrome. I, then, realized that they are worth the love and attention they’re getting. They became popular with the help of Hani’s fancam, but they really deserve it.

It was shown in EXID showtime how close they are with each other. Plus, they are a fun group. They’re not afraid to show the camera their good and bad sides. They also inspire other groups and believers out there to keep fighting for their dreams even if sometimes it seems hopeless. Even though they don’t gain much attention before, that didn’t stop them from performing. Even though half of the old members of EXID decided to leave the group, Hani, LE and Junghwa kept their ground and decided to keep on going.

Bias: Hani (Ahn Hee Yeon)

Okay. I take back everything I said about her before. I know why people love her. It’s because she’s one of the most real idol today. While most girl idols are too busy protecting their image, Hani, on the other hand didn’t seem to bother. How often can you call a female idol oppa? Yes, Hani is called as Hani Oppa by L.E.G.O. (EXID’s fandom name) She acts like a guy but when she started performing, her female aura is overflowing.

Bias wrecker: LE (Ahn Hyo Jin)

She looks like a cold person, but in reality she’s sweet and lovable. She may act like she don’t care, but she really does. And I love how she raps. Haha.

3. Girl’s Generation (SNSD)
Standing from left to right: Yuri, Tiffany, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon
Sitting from left to right:Taeyeon, Sunny, Seohyun, Yoona
I can’t remember when I started stanning this group. I wasn’t into K-Pop before but I already listen to their songs. Thanks to Myx, I guess. So when I started loving K-Pop more than what I expected, I decided to watch their MVs, variety show guesting and reality shows.

With their appearance, most of them started to have a career on modelling and acting. And even though they’ve been in the game longer than most active girl groups now, they’re still on the lead. (Most haters won’t agree with me here but I don’t mind. You could ask for Google’s help for confirmation.)
Standing from left to right: Sunny, Yuri, Yoona, Seohyun, Taeyeon
Sitting from left to right: Sooyoung, Tiffany, Hyoyeon
Contrary to their appearance (modest, sophisticated, and elegant) they are actually huge dorks. I consider them as one of the dorkiest groups today. You could search for their videos on Youtube and watch their variety show guestings and reality shows to check if they’re really dorks.

One thing I also love about them is that they’re versatile. They don’t stick with one genre. And whatever genre they choose to perform, they’ll always slay.

Bias: Yoona (Im Yoona)

She’s the first member I’ve known. She’s always at the center of their performances so I find her easier to remember than the other members. Most people say that she’s just pretty and she has no talent, but I beg to disagree. Yes, she’s pretty. It’s given. Her visual is overflowing. But she’s not just a pretty face. She can dance, too. She’s not as good as Hyoyeon but if you’ll watch her dance, it seems like she makes the dance step easier. She can’t sing like Taeyeon, but her voice ain’t that bad. She has a really sweet and calming voice. (Check her solo song Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway.) She can act, too and she’s good with variety shows. Her personality is a bonus. Despite having that pretty face, she’s not afraid to show her dorky side.

Bias wrecker: Taeyeon (Kim Taeyeon) and Sooyoung (Choi Sooyoung)

I’ll start with Taeyeon. She has a lot of haters and I don’t even know why. If it’s because of her nose, then that’s the pettiest reason to hate a person. If you'll tell me that she kicked Jessica out of the group, come on, dude! As if she has the power to do that. (What’s to hate about her?) She sings really well. You could feel the emotions in her songs. She’s also funny if she wants to be.

As for Sooyoung, I like her because she’s so funny. She’s the second dorkiest in this group. (After Hyoyeon.) She could make people laugh without trying too hard.

2. Red Velvet
From left to right: Wendy, Seulgi. Irene, Yeri, Joy
I’m not one of those red velvet stan who liked them immediately, though they already catch my attention even before they debuted. When I saw their teaser for Happiness, I was so confuse who is who.  For an SM group, I thought their debut song is good, but not that great.

Then they added another member. At first I was a bit confused why they added Yeri in Red Velvet, but I read something that says that Yeri should really be in Red Velvet. They just waited for her to be a little bit older (one year older.) That’s the reason why she’s included in the first few seconds of Happiness MV.
From left to right: Seulgi, Joy, Irene, Wendy, Yeri
It was Ice Cream Cake era when I started to really stan them. I started watching videos about them on Youtube and other Korean sites. I even downloaded all of their songs and I constantly check updates about them.

They’re known as a visual group, but I also consider them as a talented group. They’re popular today not because they’re in SM but because they’re really talented. They could kill any genre. For a rookie group, they’re not afraid to experiment different genres.

Bias: Seulgi (Kang Seulgi)

She’s all in one. What can’t she do? She’s close to perfection. She’s so good in singing. She’s great at dancing. She can rap, too. Her visual is no joke. You can take a picture of her sitting, standing, walking or doing totally nothing but she can make it look like a damn photoshoot. She’s really kind, too, that’s why people are so fond of her. These are the reasons why she’s my ultimate girl bias.

Bias wrecker: Joy (Park Sooyoung)

All members of Red Velvet are bias wrecker. But as of now, I think Joy is the most bias wrecker of them all. Out of all the members, I love her voice the most. Don’t get me wrong. I love the voice of Seulgi and Wendy, too, but Joy’s voice is different. Aside from her voice, her personality is really adorable.

1. EXO
Standing from left to right: Sehun, Chanyeol, Lay, Xiumin, Suho, Chen
Sitting from left to right: D.O., Baekhyun, Kai
EXO is the only boy group who made it on my list. It’s because EXO is my bias group and the group that brought me to K-Pop. If you’ll ask me to pick one and only one group, I’ll choose EXO in a heartbeat. No but’s. That’s automatic. My love for this group is no joke.

If you’ll tell me that I only stan this group because they’re attractive, then you clearly don’t know them. Yes, they’re attractive, but they’re so much more than just a pretty face. They can sing, they can rap, they can dance and they can act. Don’t even bother to argue. Your opinion is irrelevant. Lol. There are better artists than them but in my heart they’ll always be the best.

I’ve been in this fandom for years. They’ve encountered too many issues. Three members left already (I still love them and for me they will always be a part of EXO.) But the mere fact that EXO remain standing tall despite the issues, the criticisms, the pain and so much more, made me love them even more.

Bias: Baekhyun (Byun Baekhyun), Lay (Zhang Yixing), Chanyeol (Park Chanyeol)

Chanyeol has been added on the top spot for my bias not too long ago. Well who wouldn’t love him, anyway? He’s so tall and handsome as hell. (Credits to Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams. LOL.) Aside from his outer appearance, he’s also funny and kind. And he’s EXO’s number one fan. Ha!

As for Baekhyun, he is your bias even if he’s not your bias. I don’t understand how people could hate this little ball of sunshine. He has a bright personality and even though he joke a lot, he never fails to show his appreciation to the other members and EXO-Ls.

Yixing! This guy deserves all the love in the world. He’s so kind and polite. He’s hardworking too and he does everything to make us, EXO-Ls, happy. Some people doesn’t appreciate him, they criticized him and they’re saying that he’ll leave just like what the other Chinese members did, but despite all of it, he still shows his love for EXO. And it’s Zhang Yixing, bruh. If you know him, you know that he’ll stay.

These three are like wolves when they’re on the stage but act like cute puppies outside the spotlight.

Bias wrecker: Sehun (Oh Sehun) and Kai (Kim Jongin)

Every members of EXO are bias wreckers but the maknae line stood out for me.

Sehun’s sassy attitude despite being the youngest is too cute. His love for his hyungs are also admirable. And I won’t get tired saying that Oh Sehun is like a work of art. As for Jongin, his laugh is too adorable. And whenever he smiles you'll have this urge to put him in your pocket. He’s so charismatic on stage but too cute when he’s not on stage.

So that’s it. That’s my top 5 favorite group and I don’t think this ranking will change anytime soon.

Relationship Code No. 1

The codes that will be included in this blog are the codes that are included in my story "The Relationship Code".

Relationship Code No. 1: Make him or her happy

This is basic. You must make your partner happy. You don't enter a relationship because you want to be sad, right? You enter a relationship because you love that person and you believe that you’ll be happy with him. And that’s what he thought, too.

Making your special someone happy isn’t as hard as you though it would be. Since he loves you, making him happy is as simple as 1 + 1.

What are the things you should do to make him genuinely happy?

1. Accept him or her for who she is and don’t try to make him the person he’s not.

One would be really happy if he knows that someone loves him just the way he is. Your acceptance shouldn’t limit to where he’s good at, where he excels or what are his good points. You must include his past, his flaws, his insecurities and everything he hates about himself.

2. Always make him feel that you’re there for him.

Be by his side. Since he chose you to be his queen, you should always be there for him. When he’s happy, be by his side and his happiness will double. When he’s sad, be there for him and his sorrow will divide.

3. Give him his space.

Even if he wants to spend time with you, you still have to give him his own time – his own space. Don’t limit him and stop him from doing what he loves. Don’t try to cage him. Just let him be free and do what he loves. As long as he doesn’t make stupid moves and he doesn’t ignore you, then it’s all fine.

These three are only a few of the thousand ways to make him happy. You could also compliment him; appreciate his efforts; or show affection. You don’t have to do something big to make him happy.

After all, it’s the little thing that matters.

Book Review: Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira

Blurb:
"It begins as an assignment for English class: write a letter to a dead person. Laurel chooses Kurt Cobain because her sister, May, loved him. And he died young, just like May. Soon, Laurel has a notebook full of letters to the dead—to people like Janis Joplin, Heath Ledger, Amelia Earhart, and Amy Winehouse—though she never gives a single one of them to her teacher. She writes about starting high school, navigating the choppy waters of new friendships, learning to live with her splintering family, falling in love for the first time, and, most important, trying to grieve for May. But how do you mourn for someone you haven’t forgiven? It’s not until Laurel has written the truth about what happened to herself that she can finally accept what happened to May. And only when Laurel has begun to see her sister as the person she was—lovely and amazing and deeply flawed—can she truly start to discover her own path. In a voice that’s as lyrical and as true as a favorite song, Ava Dellaira writes about one girl’s journey through life’s challenges with a haunting and often heartbreaking beauty." - Ava Dellaira's Love Letters to the Dead

***
This is not my type of book. I knew it already as I read the blurb, but the title is so catchy so I decided to give it a try.

I like how the author narrate the story through a letter-writing style. I thought I'll get bored, but yaaay, because I didn't.

This story kind of reminds me of Stephen Chbosky's Perks of Being a Wallflower. Honestly, I enjoyed reading Love Letters to the Dead because of how it was narrated. But story-wise, Perks of Being a Wallflower is still better.

Character wise... I don't love Laurel, the protagonist, but I don't hate her either. Let's just say that she's okay. As for Sky, he is okay... at first. He's that mysterious guy most girls love in a fictional character. I just expected more from his character. But like they say, expectations lead to the disappointments. As for the other characters, they are relevant no matter how small their roles may be. They are not the type of characters which were put in a story just to add more characters.

To be honest, I expected too much from this story. (You could put the blame on me.) I'm not disappointed at the outcome but I'm not amazed either. It lacks something. Maybe it lacks story about May or May's reason why she did what she did. I don't know.

Still, I enjoyed reading this book.

***
“Why are some things harder to lose than others?” “Because of love, of course. The more you love something, the harder it is to lose.” “I think it’s like when you lose something so close to you, it’s like losing yourself."

"The universe is bigger than anything that can fit your mind.

"You know when you think you know someone? More than anyone in the world? You know you know them, because you’ve seen them, like, for real. And then you reach out, and suddenly they are just.. gone. You thought you belonged together. You thought they were yours, but they’re not. You want to protect them, but you can’t."

"I think a lot of people want to be something, but we are scared that if we try, we won’t be as good as everyone imagines we could be."

“There are two most important things in the world – being in danger, and being saved.” “But if those are the two most important things, what about being in love?” “Why do you think that’s the most profound thing for a person? It’s both at once. When we are in love, we are both completely in danger and completely saved.”

Book Review: The Fill-in Boyfriend by Kasie West

Blurb:
When Gia Montgomery’s boyfriend Bradley, dumps her in the parking lot of her high school prom, she has to think fast. After all, she’d been telling her friends about him for months now. This was supposed to be the night she proved he existed. So when she sees a cute guy waiting to pick up his sister, she enlists his help. The task is simple: be her fill-in boyfriend – two hours, zero commitment, a few white lies. After that, she can win back the real Bradley.

The problem is that days after prom, it’s not the real Bradley she’s thinking about but the stand-in. The one whose name she doesn’t even know. But tracking him down doesn’t mean they’re done faking a relationship. Gia owes him a favor, and his sister intends to see that he collects: his ex-girlfriend’s graduation party – three hours, zero commitment, a few white lies.

Just when Gia begins to wonder if she could turn her fake boyfriend into real one, Bradley comes waltzing back into her life, exposing her lie, and threatening to destroy her friendships and her newfound relationship.

***
This will contain spoilers. You’ve been warned.

The Fill-in Boyfriend is the first book of Kasie West I’ve ever read and it won’t definitely be the last. It is a fun light read tackling love, friendship, family and one’s self. So yeah. You could say it’s an all-in-one story which highlights the romance part more.

Gia is the most popular girl in her school. With her clique, she’s considered by everyone as the leader but she doesn’t get along with everyone in her group. Jules, a member of her clique, is finding a way to bring her down because as she believes, she wants to take away her friends. Initially, I’m not very fond of Gia. She’s like a coward, selfish, whining brat. But as the story goes on, her character development is palpable. So I begin to like her after all.

On the other hand, I immediately liked fill-in Bradley’s character. He’s like this gentleman, humorous, kind guy you want to meet in real life. And I love the fact that he didn’t take advantage of their situation. He takes things slow so it’s a plus point.

As for the supporting characters, I have issues with them aside from Bec and her mom (I love them!) and Gia’s family. (His brother is so messed up but so is she so… I guess it’s fine.)

I’ll start with Jules. She was okay but when I found out her reason, I just thought that it’s too shallow. Then, Claire. Claire is Gia’s bestfriend that’s why I’m hoping more from her. But I ended up being disappointed. Then there’s this other friend whose name I forgot because her existence wasn’t that important. Honestly, she could be kicked out from the story and nothing will ever change.

And last but definitely not the least, Bradley. The real Bradley. Out of all the supporting characters, I was hoping more exposure for him. I was expecting he will enter the scene and complicate things because she wants Gia back, but he didn’t. He just popped out of nowhere and boom. The blurb is so misleading. I swear!

Despite my issues with the characters, I had fun reading the story as a whole. It even send me butterflies in my stomach which I last felt two years ago caused by Perkin’s Cricket. So, that’s it.
I recommend this book to some teens out there. It’s really a fun read.

  • "We rarely find depth by looking inside of ourselves for it. Depth is found in what we can learn from the people and things around us. Everyone, everything, has a story, Gia. Top Ten Pairings

I’m going to enumerate top ten pairings whom I really like. These pairings are kpop idols, pinoy artists, Hollywood stars and fictional characters. Being a part of different fandom, I can’t help but ship different characters or members since I think they best complement each other.

According to urban dictionary, ship or OTP means a pair you link with each other romantically. But when I ship, it doesn’t necessarily mean that I want them to have a romantic relationship with each other. It may also mean that I just love the chemistry between them and I love how they treat each other as friends, bestfriends or siblings. Though of course, I ship some romatically. Not just everyone on the list.

As a fangirl and a shipper, I experienced how to get heartbroken when my ship has sunk. Some of these ships are HunHan (Sehun and Luhan), TaoHun (Tao and Sehun), KrisHo (Kris and Suho), Emma Stone & Andrew Garfield, Lily Collins & Jamie Campbell Bower, Ban Nam Gyu & Kim Min Jun and so much more.  But of course that doesn’t stop me from shipping other pairs. So…

Here are my top ten pairings:

10. Paul Soriano and Toni Gonzaga-Soriano

They aren’t originally in my list. I haven’t even thought about them when I’m trying to enumerate the pairs I want to be in my list. But I was browsing different channels and I happen to land on cinema one where Toni Gonzaga’s My Amnesia Girl is being played and it just occur to me that they deserve a spot on my list.

You don’t have to be a fan (cause I'm not) to love their love story. Imagine a multimedia artist ended up with a highly-respected director, producer, scriptwriter! I found it too cute that out of all the actors who pursued Toni (Mind you, they are considered as heartthrobs by many) she chose someone who works behind the camera. Direk Paul is really handsome too. Plus, he’s her first and last boyfriend. That’s just my ideal type of love story. Haha!

Toni, herself, admitted that she’s a hard person to love since she has lots of limitations (at her age, late 20’s I guess, she still have a 12mn curfew), her parents are so strict and she has a lot of priorities and her boyfriend – now husband – isn’t at the top spot. Despite all of it, Direk Paul waited for her for years. Not all guys could wait in such a long time. Not all guys could abide tons of rules and limitation. Not all guys could accept being in the last spot of her priorities. But he did. If that doesn’t make you go ‘aww’, then I don’t know what will.

9. Austin Butler and Vanessa Hudgens

I am a ZaNessa fan. Really. I watched them as Troy and Gabriella and there’s just a strong chemistry between the two. I fell in love with them even more when they became a couple. For years, I always believe that they’ll end up together – that even though they were too young, they already found the one who’ll they spend their whole life with. (Hopeless romantic? Maybe. Blinded by the idea of love? Maybe.) Then they broke up and I never lose hope that they’ll get back together. But Austin came in the picture and dated Vanessa and that’s when I started to lose my ZaNessa feels because Austin and Vanessa look so perfect with each other.

They’ve known each other way way back but started dating on 2011 – if I’m not mistaken. Lol!

Their relationship is best described as “goals” by some. Because they are really goals. They do things together. Be it hiking, strolling, swimming, having a road trip, eating, delivering meals for charity, etc. They keep each other company. They’re also in good terms with their families. They’re also each other’s support and number one fan. Vanessa was there for Austin when his mother died and Austin always supports her in her career. I also love how they’re comfortable showing the world how much they love each other, especially those loving gazes they keep on giving each other.
Ah, gotta love this couple!

8. Kang Gary and Song Ji Hyo a.k.a. Monday Couple

It took me quite a long time to decide who’ll be my running man representative for this list. It’s hard to decide which pair I’ll include since all of them are so close with each other. I mean, there’s Lee Kwang Soo and Song Joong Ki (He may be famous in Descendants of the Sun now, but for me, he’ll always be a part of the running man family), the same-aged friend. Then there’s Kim Jong Kook and Haha, Jong Kook and Jae Suk, Jong Kook and Ji Hyo, Jae Suk and Suk Jin, Kwang Soo and Suk Jin. Out of all these pairings, I chose the Monday couple because… I don’t know?

Maybe it’s because of the chemistry between the two. Ever since Ji Hyo joined Running Man, Gary expresses his admiration towards her. Some, I think, are scripted while some are not.

I believe that these two had a chance. I remember one episode where their heartbeat was monitored. Ji Hyo asked Gary that time that if ever she confessed her feelings for him in the past (she indirectly admitted he liked him, right?) will Gary accepts her to which Gary answered “I’ll run to you like a wind”. Isn’t it sweet?

But the thing is, if they really had feelings for each other, it’s already in the past. Both of that feeling turned into a brotherly/sisterly love. It’s fine though. Since both of them are still close and there’s a higher chance that they’ll be with each other longer if they just remain friends/family.

7. Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo a.k.a. KathNiel

These two are destined to meet and to be paired up with each other. Their loveteam started on the youth oriented show Growing Up. Before that, Kathryn has a successful loveteam with Alby Casiño but due to some issues about Alby, he took a break from showbiz. Hence, Kathryn’s paired up with Daniel.

Ever since I saw these two on screen, their chemistry is just too strong that just by standing beside each other I can’t help but feel giddy. They were loved and hated at the same time by many. And despite being one of the most famous stars these days, both of them kept their feet on the ground.

These two are natural. They don’t need to pretend or make efforts to make people kilig. They just do it naturally because they have this strong connection and bond. They’ve encountered many issues already but if you’ll look at them now, you’ll see that all these issues just brought them closer to each other.

Even though they won’t admit that they’re a real-life couple, their fans (count me in!) already know the truth judging by their actions.

6. David and Victoria Beckham

Now who wouldn’t know this A-list couple? A well-known soccer player and a spice girls member/businesswoman/model/fashion designer. They dated, they fell in love, and they married each other. A very typical love story; but sometimes being typical is also beautiful.

They’ve been together for almost 20 years. I super adore this couple because not everyone could last that long. Nowadays, couples easily get married and then get divorced even before they reach their 20th, heck, even 10th year.

Their relationship isn’t perfect. There are extramarital affairs. But after all those issues, these two didn’t give up. They could have chose to divorce and go their separate ways but they didn’t. They chose to make things work out and fix the issues. Instead of giving up, they chose to fight together, which isn’t easy. That’s admirable.

And because they fight together, they managed to make their relationship work. Now, they have three adorable kids, one young man (Bless their genes!) and closer, stronger relationship/bond.

5. Lee Seung Gi and Im Yoona

Okay… I know this ship already sunk since the two broke up already, but it would be really nice if these ex-couple rekindled their romance.

Seung Gi is loved by many ladies in Korea because of his charming look and personality while Yoona is also loved because of her cute personality and outstanding visuals.

When they announced on a New Year that these two are a couple, I was really happy. I can’t even contain my feels. I really ship these two because it was so obvious that they like each other.

Seung Gi is vocal that Yoona is his ideal girl. Just so you know, most Korean celebrities change their ideals from time to time but not Seung Gi. He always choose Yoona for three consecutive years. He even said on Strong Heart that he likes her to death. Some may take it as a joke, but some didn’t. Yoona is also a self-confessed Seung Gi fangirl. They really look good together.

It’s such a shame that they ended their relationship.

4. Park Ji Ho and Ryu Hye Ju a.k.a. JHHJ

They are one of the most famous ulzzang couples – if not, the most famous one. They started going out since 2009. There are rumours that they broke up already but just get back together because of a certain show where Park Ji Ho is known as one of the main casts. They were allegedly forced to get back together because that will benefit the show. But there’s no confirmation about this issue.

Even if that’s true, what matters most is that they’re still together up till now and it looks like they’re still going strong.

I even used them as a portrayer for my characters since they are my favorite ulzzang couple. I also find it cute that they’re together most of the time, that they travel together, that they eat together, that they stroll together and take pictures together.

Just recently, they posted a picture of them together on Instagram. I really wish that these two ends up together forever and tie the knot someday.

3. Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase a.k.a. PercAbeth
Alexandra Daddario as Annabeth Chase and Logan Lerman as Percy Jackson
Yup, you read it write. They are one of my top ten pairings. They even made it to the top three. If you’re not familiar with them, then I’ll enlighten you. Haha!

They are fictional characters from Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and Heroes of Olympus series. (If you haven’t read it yet, then you probably should. I highly recommend this book. If you’re into Greek myth, this is perfect for you. And if you’re not, this book might make you love Greek myth. Ha!)

Anyway… I included them in my list because they are just perfect for each other. I really want to say more about these two but I might spoil you so… I’ll stop here. If I don’t stop, I can’t guarantee that I’ll contain my feels and leave tons of spoilers. I’ll play safe for now.

2. Kim Taeyeon and Hwang Tiffany a.k.a. TaeNy
Left: Taeyeon || Right: Tiffany
Both of them are members of the girl group Girl’s Generation/SNSD. Just to make it clear, I don’t ship them romantically. I just really love their friendship.

There are 8 members of SNSD (9 before) but Taeyeon and Tiffany are the closest. They’re bestfriends.

On Channel Soshi, Taeyeon was asked what Tiffany meant to her. During that interview, she can’t help but cry and answered, “When she isn’t by my side, it feels the same thing as if my happiness is gone.” Aww. There’s also a part there where Taeyeon said that she feels happy and Tiffany told her that she should maintain that feeling.

They really care for each other. They also support each other. When it comes to personality, the two contradicts but it just made them complement each other. Taeyeon likes and hates being alone while Tiffany is a people person. Taeyeon is a lot calmer than Tiffany and Tiffany said she wants to have that kind of personality. Despite their differences, they still managed to keep their friendship for a very long time.

Many said that Taeyeon is lucky to have Tiffany as her friend because Tiffany always takes care of her and cheer her on. But friendship is a two-way street. Tiffany is also lucky to be friends with Taeyeon. Now that kind of friendship is for keeps.

1. Park Chanyeol and Byun Baekhyun a.k.a. ChanBaek/BaekYeol
Left: Chanyeol || Right: Baekhyun
Chanyeol and Baekhyun are members of EXO, a kpop boy group. Before debuting, Baekhyun joined SM later than the others. The members were shocked that Chanyeol and Baekhyun managed to get closer on a short period of time. When Baekhyun was introduced to them, the two clicked in an instant and talked like they knew each other for years.

Chanyeol once said that he wants to protect Baekhyun because he’s small and looks like he needs protection. And he proved that he’s true to his words. Whenever they’re at the airport, Chanyeol always stays at Baekhyun’s side. When they’re going overseas, most of the time, they’re always together. When Baekhyun almost fell, Chanyeol catches him. When Baekhyun had muscle cramps, Chanyeol massaged him. Some exo-ls call him as Baekhyun’s personal bodyguard because he always makes sure Baekhyun’s safety.

Baekhyun on the other hand, supports Chanyeol, too. When Chanyeol was filming Law of the Jungle, Baekhyun cheered him on and asked the others to take good care of Chanyeol because he is kind. He also visited Chanyeol when he was filming Roommate.

Some says that ChanBaek is real because if you’ll watch a video about them, you’ll see how they take good care of each other and how they look at each other. As a ChanBaek shipper, I don’t really mind if they date since #lovewins, right? But even though I’m a shipper, I know that they’re just really close friends – best of friends actually. Some just misinterpret it because of how close they are. Whatever these guys do, I’ll just support them. And I hope that their friendship grows stronger by the years.

BONUS!
These people didn’t make it in the list because they aren’t pairs. But since I’m talking about those who I ship (and I made it clear already that I have a different definition of the word "ship"), I decided to include them on this post, but not as one of the top ten pairs but as a bonus.

Bonus # 1: Kai, D.O., Krystal, Taemin
Left to right: D.O. (EXO), Kai (EXO), Krystal (f(x)), Taemin (Shinee)
Along with ChanBaek, I also ship Kai and D.O. a.k.a. KaiSoo. I tweeted so many times that they are one of my top 5 kpop idols OTPs. But why they didn’t make it on the list?

It’s just that even though I love the friendship between these two, I low-key ship Kai with Krystal and Taemin.

When it was announced last April 1 that Kai and Krystal are dating (SM picked the wrong date on confirming this issue) I’m really happy for them. They knew each other for ten years and they started off as friends. They are such a visual couple. (Krystal is my f(x) bias. I love her resting bitch face. Haha!) But then again, I felt sad for those KaiSoo and TaeKai shippers who got their hearts broken.

I ship Kai romantically with Krystal but I also ship Kai’s friendship with D.O. and Taemin. Out of all the EXO members, Kai and D.O. are one of the closest. They’re really comfortable being together. But then Kai and Taemin are best of friends, too. Their friendship is really admirable. They may be from the same company but they’re from different groups. Despite that, they still hang out often until now and even support each other’s group.

Aww. Our Nini is really loved.

Bonus #2: Red Velvet
Left to right: Joy, Wendy, Seulgi, Irene, Yeri
Before writing the final list, I was thinking if I should include Seulgi and Irene a.k.a. SeulRene or Seulgi and Wendy a.k.a. SeulDy/WenSeul. But I saw a photo of Seulgi and Yeri and realized that SeulRi is cute, too. JoyGi is fine, also. But WenRene slay, too. So as JoyRi.

Basically, you could ship any member with any member and they will still look cute together so why not choose Red Velvet as a whole?

At first glance and if you don’t really know them, you’ll think that they are a group of sophisticated, serious and innocent group. (It didn’t help that they’re a visual group. Lol!) But actually, they’re a bunch of dorks.

Red Velvet, hwaiting! ~

Bonus #3: Thomas, Minho and Newt a.k.a. The Glader Trio
Left to right: Ki Hong Lee as Minho, Dylan O'Brien as Thomas, Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Newt
They are fictional characters from James Dashner’s Maze Runner series.

These three are a package deal. Their bond is just too strong because they’ve been through so many challenges. The maze, the scorch, the virus, the cranks, the cure. They experienced so many life and death situations and the more challenges they’ve been through, the more closer they become.
